hospital, historical layer / disappeared object

Cane Hill was opened in 1882 as the Third Surrey County Lunatic Asylum in buildings designed by Charles Henry Howell. Following a gradual winding down of operations, it closed all but its secure unit in late 1991.
Derelict for many years, demolition started in March 2008 and was due to be completed by the end of January 2010. Only the Chapel, Administration building and Water Tower remain. A few buildings outside of the main fence remain, most noticeably the cottage hospital/secure unit.
