Ottathai one of the oldest place, people migrated from center kerala for agriculture. Most of the people belongs St.Antony's church for their social activities. This small village has a upper goverment upper primary school, a public reading room and arts and sports clubs. Most of the people are working on thir own farm and some of are working in private and public seacter. Also a few are working abroad.

  • First Gold Medel in Asian Track and Field Championship's from this place through M.D Valsamma (Gold medal in the 400 m hurdles in an Indian and Asian record time of 58.47 seconds in front of a home crowd at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in the 1982 Asian Games) Also a beautiful stream passing through ottathai, starting from Paithalmala.

  • What a wonderful site - Ottathai near Alakode is in google! Marvelous google! Since I lived there so many years, it is nostalgic! Saint Antony's church where I have attended the Mass and the cemetery where my parents and brother are resting, the small grocery shops, neighbours all in one flash!
