  I used to come out here a lot when I worked for a Cable co. Beautiful place! Definitely a hidden gem in Va. Beach.

  Sandbridge has an unofficial nickname among the region's Emergency Operations planning staff. "Matchstick Beach." This is in the belief that when (not IF) the Hampton Roads area is subjected to a direct hurricane hit that the hundreds of frame houses built here will be reduced to nothing more than matchstick-sized debris.
