The Bell Family's house is truly representative of a different era, when wealthy families built opulent homes, such as this, in prestigious locations for all to admire. Built in 1910, it was designed by well known architects Storey & Van Egmond. The exterior has changed little since its early days with one unique feature being the covered carriage entrance on the east side of the house. The main floor contained a library, living room, dining room and kitchen while the second floor and five bedrooms, two baths, a dressing room and a sewing room. The third floor housed the domestic help in three large bedrooms. While the building was divided into suites in 1942, it has now been returned to single family use.
The Bell House cost $14,000 to build in 1910.
