The Deed Book B, pages 241, 242 of Clinton County,PA has the sale of land by Michael Miller & Elizabeth, his wife, of Cummings Twp., Lycoming Co. to Andrew Deis of Dunnstable Twp., Clinton County on 8 Nov 1834 for the sum of $2,000 for 443 acres. Witnesses: A. Harris & W. L. Harris as described: "Parcel was ogiginally a patent from Comm. of PA, dated 5 Aug 1794, recorded 26 Aug 1794 in Patent Book #25, page 497 to Joseph Tucker. Land is situated in Pine Creek Twp, then Northumberland now Lycoming County. Warrent dated 21 Sept 1792, #1969. Then sold by Joseph Tucker and Susanna, his wife, to Isaac Jones in 1 Nov 1803 per their agreement on 9 June 1800. Isaac Jones sons and Elizabeth, his wife, conveyed the tract to Michael Miller and Elizabeth, his wife, 1 Nov 1803, Now Michael Miller and Elizabeth, his wife, to Andrew Deis and his heirs 8 Nov 1834. 'Beginning at a hickory corner and corner of John M. Miller's preemption tact, thence by preemption tract of Thomas Proctor and John McCormick, South 60 degrees W 264 perches to a post, thence N 30 degrees W 164 perches to a post. By lands of ______ and Proctor E 55 perches to a pine tree thence N by lands of Peter Grove 196 perches to a black Oak; thence E by land of Thomas Proctor 422 perches to a post S by lands taken up in the name of Thomas Tucker 172 perches to a post thence N 60 degrees E 12 perches to a post thence S 30 degrees 77 perches to the place of beginning containing 443 acres and allowances as aforesaid'.
