Traditional Entrance to Aizawl Capital City (Mizoram). While coming from Silchar, the road takes a sharp bend here to cross the ridge of a mountain range and go to the other slope. Deep earth cutting was required here to cross the range. As one can not go to Aizawl without crossing this ridge, the BRTF people - who constructed the road, named it as Aizawl Gate.
