Built in 2004 to power the large FedEx Express freight facility, this 904-kilowatt solar array is the largest corporate solar electric system in the United States. The array provides approximately 80% of the peak load demand for the FedEx facility and adds nearly one megawatt of zero-pollution electric generating capacity to the city of Oakland.
