Tigaon is a 3rd class municipality in the province of Camarines Sur, Philippines. According to the 2007 census, it has a population of 45,509 people. It is located between Mt. Isarog and the Lagonoy Gulf. The economy is based on agricultural products like rice, corn, sugar cane, abaca fiber, fishery and piggery. Tigaon is also known for its cottage industry, especially high quality ships-in-bottles. The main tourist attractions are the Mt. Isarog Jungle Park at Barangay Concocep and several beach resorts.

Tigaon is also the hometown of Tiberio Garchitorena Fabricante, 1st cousin of the late Justice Francis E. Garchitorena. Tiberio or "Bing" as he is widely known in NY and NJ is the first ever Fil-American from Tigaon who was appointed to the NJ Supreme Court Office of Attorney Ethics. He is the grandson of Don Andres Garchitorena who was Governor in Camarines when it was Ambos Camarines and newphew of President Roxas' Secretary of Agriculture and Nat Resources Mariano Garchitorena. Don Andres was a member of then Gen, Emilio Aguinaldo's Military Junta and served in The "Comite de Reformadores" alongside Phil. martyrs Frs. Burgos, Gomez and Zamora. They own vast holdings in Manito, Albay and the entire Bicol Region where the name "Garchitorena" means they own over half of the province Filed.
