Also known as the Pearl of the South. This is a Natural lake in Al-Samawah City. 270 Kilometers south of Baghdad, between Baghdad and Basra.

  • Ihad staded this lake on1980 it is asalty lake its salainty is about20000ppm and its water is higher than the sarrawndig about one meter becous it made asalty wall.the source of this water is the ground water which salinety is about 35ooppm .the reason of the highsalinety of the lake is evaporation .and ther is hydrolic equalbration between the prasser of the lake and theground water
