Shashi District (沙市区) is a district within the main urban area of the Jingzhou Prefecture-level City, Hubei Province, China. It is located on the left (northern) bank of the Yangtze River, between Yichang and Wuhan. Shashi is one of the 200 major cities of China, with a population of around 500,000.
