Bray is a quiet riverside village with a low population south east of Maidenhead. It is home to two restaurants with 3 Michelin stars, the Waterside Inn run by Alain and Michel Roux and the Fat Duck run by Heston Blumenthal, as well as two excellent pubs and the Monkey Island Hotel. Michael Parkinson the journalist, "Parky", lives here and owns a pub a few miles away which his son runs and Parky commercially promotes occasionally through reference to it on his radio show. Another BBC stalwart of the last three decades and who also is on Radio 2 and who also lives here is Terry Wogan. The parish continues to those in the know cover more than 5 square miles extending well beyond Holyport to the south and west.
