Ascot is a wealthy village in the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead in Berkshire dominated by its famous racecourse where the Royal Ascot is held. Its name means 'East Cottage', and it is close to the two more residential villages of North Ascot and South Ascot. Ascot station is a stop from London Waterloo to Reading and start of the Ascot to Aldershot branch line.
