It is astonishing that The such an important place remained unmarked. (Even the view seems to be a bit hazy in the map) Village Kaleshwar is famous for ancient temple of Lord Shiva at the banks of river BEAS. The other famous place is PANJTEERTHI here which is believed to be slightly at higher religious esteem than HAR-KI-POWDI- HARDWAR. Kaleshwar has religious as well as tourism potential which is needed to be streamlined and exposed.
Dead bodies are brought from nearby villages for cremation at the banks of BEAS river here from nearby villages. Cremation here is believed to be as sacred as on the banks of holy Ganga and Yamuna rivers.

When one visits Kaleshwar, very nearby CHAMUKHA temple (Chaturmukh deity of LORD SHIVA) should also be visited. It is four kilo Meters by motor road from Kaleshwar. Chamukha temple is also a very charming and peaceful place. That temple is believed to have been built during the exile of PANDVAS. -Vishwa Nath sood
