Paved high-speed bicycle path serving southeast Denver, Colorado. The highlighted location is where the trail tees to go around both ends of Cherry Creek Dam. From here, follow the path to the west and under Interstate 225, and you can follow it all the way to Confluence Park near downtown Denver about 12 miles away.
Note that when the trail reaches University Boulevard, it goes north along the west side of University, then curves to follow the south sidewalk of 1st Avenue (the scariest part of the entire trail, IMHO). Near Downing, the trail descends into the concrete channel in which Cherry Creek lies.
