railway bridge, 1860s construction, Grade II Listed (UK)
Railway bridge. 1863 by John Fowler, engineer. Cast-iron; brown brick abutments with chamfered yellow brick angle quoins. Single segmental girder arch with mid-C20 steel parapet. Plates at apex of arch record the date and name of the bridge and the names of its engineer and the contractors responsible, Messrs Brassby and Field; another plate records the fact that the bridge was cast and erected by the Coalbrookdale Company of Ironbridge.
