Bennemeer (Westfries: Bennemare) is a polder and village in the Medemblik district, in the northern province of the Netherlands (aka Holland), called Noord-Holland.

The Bennemeer polder lies amongst Abbekerk, Broerdijk and Twisk. This polder is surrounded by a moat, remnant of the poldering done in the 17th century. This polder is known as 'Polder Bennemeer' or 'Polder de Bennemeer'.

The village is under municipal control of Twisk, starting from where the main road changes to Gangwerf, which again changes to Bennemeer Road. Sometimes part of Gangwerf is perceived to be part of the village, sometimes with Twisk.

Bennemeer has been an independent hamlet in the Twisk area, but in the 19th century, joined twisk as a suburb. Later, in 1979 tot 2007, Bennemeer and Twisk became part of the bigger Noorder-Koggenland district.

Bennemeer is known for the 'ice rink', surrounding the village. 'Bennemeer Rondetocht' refers to the nearly round route around the village, around one could skate in wintertime. The start and finish of the route is near the A7 highway.
