Can drive up to the Stupa. The panaromic view of the city of Leh is worth the visit to this place. Also it has nice statues of Buddha at the top. Worth the drive up, if cannot climb up...

We attended the opening ceremony in 1985 and met Dalai Lama. We cherish the meeting in our hearts an wish him strength in his present illness in 2008. Perhaps I upload some of the old photos.

The best vantage point. The Stupa complex is indeed very peaceful. Views of the Leh Valley are also wonderful at evening.
