5 ft heart-shaped sculpture adorned with a painting of San Francisco by the famous singer Tony Bennett

Since 2004, the San Francisco General Hospital Foundation has created the "Hearts in San Francisco" as an annual public art installation which are later auctioned off as a fundraiser. The choice of hearts is inspired by Tony Bennett's song "I Left My Heart in San Francisco".

Bennett’s heart "America's Greatest City By the Bay" resides permanently on the corner of Powell & Post Streets in Union Square.
