A visit to the Georges Labit Museum also gives you the chance to discover the exotic garden surrounding the Neo-Moorish building that houses the city's Asian and Egyptian collections. Opened in October 2001, the garden exhibits nearly a dozen varieties of bamboo and palm trees. A banana tree and some very rare Australian plants are also to be found in the garden.

You can also see an aloe (South Africa), an orchid tree and a variety of palm tree from New Zealand.
