Butterfly World is a butterfly conservation and viewing center conceived by Clive Farrell. Mr. Farrell is a lepidopterist whose dream was to create a tribute to the butterfly and a dedicated centre of learning for the preservation of this fragile and beautiful species. Building at the site began in September 2008. Once completed in the Autumn 2011, it will be the biggest butterfly experience in the world and the biome (100m in diameter x 17.5 m high) will be big enough to house the footprint of Stonehenge seven times over.
