Alapur is a historical town in Dataganj taluk of Budaun District. It is located about 20 km south-east of Budaun, the district headquarters.
The town is said to have been founded by the emperor Ala-ud-din Alam Shah of the Saiyid Dynasty after his resignation in 1450 from the Delhi Sultanate. A mosque built during the period of Aurangzeb is the main attraction inside the town.
Alapur is directly connected by road with Kakrala, Jagat and Usehat. Budaun Railway Station and Indira Gandhi International Airport serve Alapur.
