A nice village with aprox. 4000 population per census 2011 and aprox 2500 acres of land. Have a nice bland of educated peoples and farmers. A village with more than 12 castes however Jat are the maximum in number. Main Jat gotras are Rapria & Beniwal. Per my knowledge Raprias were migrated from Balu (a village near Jind) during well known Panipat war-3 in 1761. Before settling down in Sheikhpura they spent some time in village Chamrara and left some family and friend, that is the reason Rapria's still don't merry in village Chamrara and both the villages treat each other like a brotherhood village.
Sheikhpura is 6 kilometers from Tehsil center Ganaur, 19 kilometers from District center Sonipat and 80 kilometers from national capital New Delhi
