The photo immediately next to it was taken the day before and shows the top floor and roof of the original Hotel O Cap. Unfortunately, you can no longer book rooms in the original building.

Ironically, I had visited the original O Cap on 10 April 2004, my first time back to Vung Tau since the middle 1960s.

Nowadays it's more fun going there with Vietnamese friends rather than another American like myself. That way you see "the real Vietnam."
