Dikwal is a village surrounded by Hills from Three Sides. This is the Village owned by Gawade Family. Presently they are called 'Gaonkar' means Owner of Village i.e. Landlord. All these Gawade as known settled here from village Chowke as forefather says. Gawade in Chowke known to be originaly came from Karnataka from Gauda district many years before Independence. Some of the species were in Pakistan for service. Few of them return India after partition of India and settelled in Maharashtra in different villages. Gawade can be found in whole India. Many Gawade Family has changed their name as they like. Most have changed there names with local village name. These all Gawade are 96 Kuli Maratha of Kashyap Gotra. And Kul is called Kalam.
