The Rutte dam (Bacino di Rutte) is a dam in Italy in the proximity of the Austrian border. It has 15 m a high dam buttress from brick-work as shut-off building and 1952 in enterprise was taken. On 7 November 1965 the concrete dam broke with the reunity rope, after the deposited sediment in the storage reservoir had been before.
Right after already with first in rope tears in the building, a with columns and had developed for the building 1952 between them. A tear under the concrete dam sealed itself by sediment material. When 13 years later with empty basin the sediment was removed, water could penetrate by the tear and find a way by the dolomitischen underground rock with the reunity rope. A rinsing out resulted from so-called "„Piping "“. Two days after beginning of the unity rope the foundation gave way and the wall collapsed. There were no victims to deplore, it developed only for damage to property.
