Lin peninsula is situated on the western shores of Ohrid lake, in easternmost Albania, 17 km north of Pogradec city. On the northern cape of the peninsula is located the village with same name, nowadays inhabited by 260 families that rely on farming, fishing and tourism for income. The peninsula has great touristic, cultural and ecological importance, since there are found the beautiful mosaics of V century, realized during the reign of the Roman emperor of Thracian & Illyrian origin, Justinian. Also one can find the ruins of 2 very old churches: "St. Nicholas" church, northeast of the peninsula and the ruins of "St. Thanas" monastery, constructed in 200 AD.
