Church Santa Maria delle Asse (Modena)

or the Holy Trinity. This is one of the oldest churches in Modena. The name "delle Asse" (of the planks) comes from the fact that, where the church now stands, there was once a wooden bridge that crossed the Canalgrande.

A flight of steps leads up into the church with its single nave and six side chapels. The inside is simple and elegant while the chapels are opulently decorated. turismo.comune.modena.it/
