Furman Hall is a 10-story, red brick building housing the New York University School of Law, completed in 2004. Designed by Kohn Pedersen Fox, it has the facade of a 3-story Greek-revival townhouse incorporated into the southern elevation, with the new building built on around and on top of it. The south facade sets back above the 4th floor, with the main tower rising to a barrel-vaulted top. On the east side, there is another rebuilding of an older facade, this one three stories with a modillioned roof cornice. The upper stories above the 8th floor are used for faculty apartments. It was named for Jay Furman who was a successful shopping mall developer.
