Pingston Creek generating station is co-owned by Brookfield Renewable Energy and TransAlta (formerly Canadian Hydro Developers), who are managing the facility. It is a run-of-river facility which consists of an intake structure (a small dam on Pingston Creek), a four-kilometre tunnel, a two-kilometre penstock and powerhouse. It was commissioned in 2003 as a 30-MW project and a second 15-MW phase was added in 2004. All power is sold to BC Hydro.
