Home of the Demosthenian Literary Society, Demosthenian Hall was built in 1824 by the society for their meeting purposes. The Society, which was founded in 1803, is the oldest Literary Society in North America, and even older than the Oxford Union (with whom they have had two debates, tied 1-1).
