Trelawney Estate, off Morning Lane, Hackney, London, E9 6PQ. This particular 15-storey apartment building, built in the 1960's, comprises flats numbers 127 to 186 and is located on the south side of Morning Lane ... north of Paragon Road and just west of Belsham Street.
Prior to the 1870's the site now occupied by the Trelawney Estate was being used as an orchard but it was then built over during the course of the industrial revolution and the orchard had completely disappeared by 1871 at which time the neighbourhood was a mixture of residential, commercial and industrial buildings ... and there was then a road (which has since disappeared) called "Trelawney Road".
The Trelawney Estate was built during the 1960's and now comprises of three high-rise / fifteen-storey tower blocks ... five low-rise / five-storey blocks ... and twelve two-storey houses.
