  • If we look Shahdarah historically, its very imported place. The word Shahdarah means "entrance place of kings". It is the entrance place of a famous and old city Lahore and is situated at the bank of river Ravi. Most of the kings who travelled from Afghanistan and Arab countries came to Lahore and they had to stay at Shahdarah for rest as it is situated near the river Ravi. There are many date trees in Shahdarah and it is said that they are because of the Muslim Kings, as they stay there and eat dates.
