Jagraon is a Town, tehsil head quarter and a municipal council in Ludhiana district in Punjab. Jagraon is more than five centuries old. It has been thought by some that the city's original name was "Jagar aon", meaning 'A place of great flooding', although this flooding has since ceased.

I still cherish the memories of my school days in Government High School. I used to go on foot covering a distance of 8 Kms to my school from village Akhara I am now told that this school is .in bad shape. I doubt if archaelogical department can do any thing at this stage when damage has already been done. Better late than neve. Cheers

  • Science college da city, kade tamannna see, science college padan di,15 sal pahlan, Puree nahi hoi. God Bless city and college. Don't know if it is still the best college out there.
