office building, Modern (architecture)
The building designed by noted modernist architect Eliot Noyes for IBM’s data processing arm in the 1970s. The windows were distinctively blocked by concrete veneers. After IBM's departure, the building was leased by the former Irving Trust which left upon being acquired by Bank of New York. The facility had been empty for about 10 years until it was altered in 1993 as part of Garden City's revitalization program.
