This pudukkottai – ullur village is located in Pattukkottai Taluk, Tanjur District. All it takes for anyone to reach our village is just a 7KM travel from Pattukkottai. In our village is the second largest lake in Tanjur district which in adds boost to our agriculture.
In addition, whichever direction one may choose to go in our village, will never fail to end up in a temple. We do have a temple that possesses ancient ethics as it was build nearly about 60 years ago with the supervision of a Saint “Murugaanantha Swamigal” whose GURU was the Great “Raamalinga Adigalar.”
One of our many unique celebration includes the “Mazhai Marriyamman” Temple’s festivity, which is celebrated grandly every year. This celebration includes the “Thearotta Thiruvizha” which is regarded as the largest ‘Ratham” in the District.
Also, there is "Kathayee Amman" temple which is famous and powerful Goddess. It gives whatever you pray with pure deity. The Kathayee Amman temple is located dispersely around everywhere in Tamilnadu especially around the village in Pattukkottai, Madukkur,etc. Moreover, it is impossible to find any illiterate youths even those in their fifties. With many degree graduates having acquired jobs in overseas, our village has undergone many forms of development with affecting other words ruining the beauty of the nature.
