Hotel Casa Grande Sarajevo is located in Ilidza, "one of the prettiest places on the Earth ", as E.B. Lanin wrote in “The Contemporary Review” in 1894 in London.
The name Ilidza is of Turkish origin and means spa. However, even the ancient Romans bathed in the healing springs of sulfur water that reached temperature of 58 degrees centigrade on the surface.
The hotel is located in the beginning of a 3.5 km avenue that leads to the Vrelo Bosne (the Spring of river Bosna) through an avenue 3000 plane and chestnut trees.
