samrat ashok nagar(bouddhawadi) is situated in dhamanpe taluka-rajapur district ratnagiri. There are 12 houses and has one well.As the river is far away from the village the villagers are suffering from problems of drinking water.
.Thus government are neglecting this problems and not taking any action on this problem of drinking water.The villagers with there efforts has made a well in intensions that they will solve their problems of drinking water.The villagers made a well on 17th february 1975.The grampanchayat of yelwan has build a well which was not fully build by the grampanchayat since from 23rd april 1977.Then after 24 years the well was fully build by the laghupathbandare vibhag taluka-lanja. But unfortunately the well has being collapse in the year of 2007.Because of this reason people drink a water of river which is far away from a Bauddhawadi in that river all the animals drink a water and also this river are utilizes to wash the animals which rivers has being polluted.The villagers celebrate Dr.Babasaheb Ambedkar jayanti [Birth anniversary ]and even a Buddha pornima in a great enthusiastic manner.This two special day is very importance for this people and thus it is only a day which they get very happy and merry!.
