Augustine village organized by separating the eponymous village commune Ormenis.
Augustine is common on communal road DC34, between localities and Racos Ormenis Lower Olt river, with access to rail from Brasov and Sighisoara.

Augustine is attested since 1679, but archaeological evidence pushing village existence long ago. He discovered a trove of about 300 coins, dating from 31 BC

Augustine Monastery was founded in 2006, the site of a former monastery destroyed by General Bukow hearths. So far, The settlement includes a wooden church and a monastic house.
