Djúpavatn is 0.15 km² lake situated in south Trölladyngju and is 195m above sea level. Environment of this lake is extremely beautiful and peaceful. Much of char in the lake but it is rather little. It was believed the fish available until char from Thingvellir Found was included in it around 1960. This lake is very popular with family people, because number of strangers is limited and it is possible to hire the entire lake for a while by some people to enjoy. Good houses and a place to use for hunters. Distance from the capital is about 35 km.
