ABOUT DGM AYURVEDIC MEDICAL COLLEGE
Gadag is well known as kingdom of culture Heritage; environment of Gadag - Betgeri has attracted the attention of many schools and intellectuals for its rich environmental & Cultural Heritage. The area of Kappata Gudda (hill) is fully surrounded by medicinal plants, which always attract the hearts of Ayurveda Scholars. His highness Shree Jagadguru Nandishwar Mahaswamiji of Shivanandamath has recognised and decided to utilise the gift of Nature.

Swamiji's Devine Spirit encouraged the heart of Late Shree Danappa Gurusiddappa Melmalgi to donate all his property to establish the institution. Then this reputed institution has named after the Chief Donar Shri Danappa G Melmalagi.


Shree Jagadguru Shivananda Vidya Vardhaka Samsthe Gadag has Started D.G.M. Ayurvedic Medical College in the year 1979 with the affiliation of Karnataka University Dharward to coach up candidates for Ayurved Acharya B.A.M.S. (Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine & Surgery) Course.

Since 1996 out college has been affiliated by Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Science Bangalore.

P.G. Center : Wonderful development and sincere efforts of the Institution has credited to start Post Graduate cum Research Center by the affiliation of C.C.I.M. New Delhi and R.G.U.H.S. Bangalore. The following committee of the management works with sincerity and devotion for the uplift of Institution.

Ayurveda is the science of life. It is as old as the origin of human life. Ayurveda is the Constant amplification of one's happiness, which medicates always without any kind of burden to a man's life because of its realistic approach towards life and life style of Ayurvedic way makes universe free from different specialised fields of medicine and allied sciences is to be considered and accepted to update these holistic principles to the present scenario. Always conferences and seminars will replenish the purity and potency of Ayudveda. To achieve these excellent purposes D.G.M. Ayurvedic Medical College has been dedicating though CME, state level seminar by inviting noble minds of the field. It has been widened to collate their wisdom and helped to spread it among the scholars, practitioners to popularise ayurveda.

4. Well-experienced specialist doctors are working in the Department of Kayachikitsa, Panchakarma, Shalya, Shalakya Prakriti Tantra and Streeroga.
