Historical village named after Ghazi Khan. Chohans are the landowners here.
In fact this is the place from where all the chohans in the north punjab originated.
They are the direct descendants of the son of Prithvi Raj Chohan, who was brought here as a prisoner of the king Ghauri after he defeated the Chohan ruler of Rajastan about a thousand years ago.
The said prince accepted Islam and was granted this place as reward by Ghauri for his conversion. The land granted is vast and extends all the way upto the mountains and the river Bunha. Infact it is the largest private land owned by a village in all of the chakwal tehsil.
It is probably the place with the largest number of Punjabi(as opposed to the Pashtoon/Afghan) beekeepers in the whole of the Punjab province, with almost 10-12 bee farmers from this village and its 'dhokes', who have about 500-1000 honeybee hives among them throughout one honey production year.
