Tapsa and the Stone Pagodas of Maisan (Hourse Ear Mountain) in Jinan County. Starting in 1885 a Buddhist layman by the name of Yi Gab Yong came to the Mai Mountain and while living all alone built the 80 stone pagodas found here. Some of the pagodas are as high as 30 feet, all constructed with no mortar, all completed with no help. There is a plaque placed at the temple that says "Windstorms fail to topple the pagodas, they only rock and smile at them" (the wind storms).

Each of the stone pagodas has its own name and meaning.

A strange phenomenon that occurs here during the winter is that water placed in a bowl on an alter forms icicles that grow upwards.
