The Music Bank was a seminal part in the birth of many bands from the Seattle Grunge music era. In the late 80's, early 90's this abandoned warehouse was a rehearsal hall for struggling garage bands. It was here that the inceptions of such bands as Alice in Chains and Mother Love Bone (later Pearl Jam) were formed. Alice in Chain's box set, is named Music Bank, a tribute to this place, the very root of their beginning. Unfortunately, as times change, so did this place. It is now occupied my a car muffler and exhaust building factory. What a shame, so much music history remains buried in its now silent past.
