"Willow Close" estate, built c.1913, one time home of capitalist and politician George Brownlie, Neo-Georgian style. At the turn of the last century, Little East Neck Road was comprised of large country homes, as were many parts of Babylon, Bay Shore, Brightwaters, Islip and surrounding towns making up the South Shore gold coast, though few are extant today.
