Founded by late Rev. Zacharia Ramban of Mannithottam house who brought his brother and his family to Wynad. His brother's son Fr. Jacob Mannithottam also played a majour role in the formation of this church. This church has seen many members turning as fathers including Fr. Jacob's son Fr. Moncy Jacob Mannithottam. The Ramban and Fr. Jacob were the key people to bring the Mukkoottumannil family to Wynad, as Fr. Jacob's cousin sister was married to the Mukkoottumanni family. They later became the active members of this church.
