History
Founded in 1932 by Richad and Lucile Knupper, Knupper Nursery was originally located in a small white building on the northeast corner of Old Hicks and Rand Rd, greenhouses and additional rooms were added over the years. With a degree in horticulture from Michigan State, John Heaton came in 1967 to manage and eventually purchase the business.

After a devasting fire in December of 1990, that totally destroyed the store and greenhouses, Knupper's relocated 100 yards north of its original location to the five acres where it stands today.
John and Sue Heaton have guided the nursery through good times and hard times, constantly improving the staff and the facility to create Knupper's as you see it today.
