Livigno is a italian ski resort in the Alps. It belongs to the province of Sondrio, in the region of Lombardy, Italy. The village is located at 1,816 metres above sea level and the ski area reaches up to 2.800 m. Livigno's main river is called Akua Granda, also known as Spöl. Trepalle, which belongs to Livigno, is considered Europe's highest inhabited parish. Livigno is a duty-free area and in winter accessible only from Bormio via Passo del Foscagno and Passo d'Eira or via the Munt La Schera-tunnel from Switzerland.
