Miragoâne is the capital of Nippes department. It is the capital of the Miragoane arrondisement and is a commune within the arrondisement. The Miragoâne administrative area (commune) includes the communities of: Chalon, Belle Rivière, Dessources and Saint-Michel-du-Sud.
