A weekly marketplace. Every Friday merchandise and local farm products are sold in this weekly marketplace.In the eastern hills and plains of Nepal, population is distributed unevenly and at places quite sparsely, and weekly 'hatiya' (market) are a good tradition of consumer goods supply. Sellers and buyers from far and near gather in the mornings (in the hills) and in the afternoons (in the plains) in the marketplaces. These marketplaces are public open spaces or streets. Shopkeepers make tents or makeshift shops during hot or rainy seasons.
