Kanepokhari is noted for its two major pools. One which is long but relatively shallow and a bit farther from the bus stop, and the other smaller but deeper. But with time, Kanepokhari earned fame for its kheer (rice pudding). It's a gateway to Letang and Bayarban. Kanepokhari is now famous for niguro (a kind of fern sootings eaten as green vegetable), and yellow ripe bananas that are sold at roadsides by small scale vendors. The banana vendors aim at motorcycle riders. Most of their customers are from Itahari, Urlababari and Damak.
